I Love You a Bushel and a Peck
I have always loved both of these sayings and paired with my favorite fruit.

Chilis
It has been so cold outside ... eat chilis? However, if you know me anything with spice would be the end of me. Pepper is all the spice I need, but these are fun to paint.

Never have I ever...
Never have I ever tried to do a watercolor of a vehicle...to my knowledge and if I have it must have been so poorly done I forced myself to forget. However, I am currently working on a this piece.
Put me near the water
Whenever I am near a body of water I instantly feel a calm sense of home. Growing up in the Great Lake State of Michigan has helped nurture this love. Whether I am in a boat fishing with my dad or simply on the shore watching a sunset I am always happiest near water.
Arizona Mts.
I sadly have never seen Arizona or have seen these beautiful Saguaro mountains. A friend of mine is from Arizona and I can see why she loves this state and all of the stunning desert colors.
Fur Friends
Whether our fur friends are here with us now or just wonderful memories, our pets have a special place in our hearts. Pets can truly become members of the family.

Capturing a face
Crazy to send pieces out into the world...
Florida Lighthouse
Getting engaged is such a special time in a couples lives. They have decided that they found the one they want to spend the rest of their lives with. Found the one that they want to be witness to all their life moments and someone to grow old with.
This piece captures a lighthouse where a couple agreed to make that commitment to each other by saying yes. Which I think is a truly special moment to be remembered and captured in a painting to have as a reminder.
What is Texas without Bluebonnets
If there is one thing I have learned about Texas in my short time living here it is that they love their fields of wild Bluebonnets.
Owl
Who doesn't like a cute owl? A friend of mine knows a little girl who just loves her stuffed animal white owl. As many of us had a childhood stuffed animal or a blanket we sometimes do not have these favorite items that bring back fond memories anymore. Together we turned this little girls favorite friend into a piece she can hold onto.
Snow in South Texas
I am currently up in Michigan visiting my family and helping out getting ready for the holidays. Today, while I was painting the dogs below, I see that my roommate sent me pictures of our house. I could not believe that there was so much snow! Not just a light dusting, but actual white stuff everywhere. Crazy weather in Texas this year.

Seeing Art on Walls
I had two people last week send me photos of what they did with some of the art I created for the art market. It is a thrilling feeling to see that someone loved something I created so much that they put it on display in their home making it apart of their lives.

December
I have spent years trying to find a good red berry wreath....I then also need to find a place to put a wreath as my parents currently are storing two Christmas wreaths for me and I have to get those down to Texas first. I decided to paint my own this year, its also flat and small and can fit in my suit case.
Barn
I'm excited to be home this time of year during the holidays. I am going to use this time to drive around West Michigan where I grew up and find barns to paint. It is a little cold out so I will have to take photos and paint from them. Before my market day I tried to paint this red barn and added some wreaths for Christmas. I clearly need more practice.
That time of Year
It truly is my favorite time of year. I am spending the holidays up North in Michigan this year since Stephan is gone. I packed everything warm that I own and it truly is very cold out. A small 40 degree adjustment for sure. I however love the cold and snow.
